NFL Preview Part 5 Awards Predictions

The following are my awards predictions for the 2012 NFL season. Along, with a few awards I made up myself.

MVP: Tom Brady- Brady, a two-time MVP will win his third MVP this season.
The Patriots are loaded at tight-end and Wide Receiver, love to throw the ball and are not afraid to run-up the score on opposing teams. Those are all quality factors for a potential MVP Quarterback. Plus, the Patriots will be one of the best teams in the NFL this season, again. So, Brady has a lot going for him this year.
Sleeper pick: My sleeper is San Diego Chargers QB, Phillip Rivers. He is due to have a bounce-back year. And he is one of the most talented QB's in the NFL.
Others: Drew Brees,Eli Manning, Matt Stafford, Mike Vick, Aaron Rodgers, Tim Tebow, Cam Newton.

Least Valuable Player: Tim Tebow- The most overrated NFL player of all-time. Tebow, is a glorified punt protector for the Jets. Yet, he is talked about on SportsCenter more than any other athlete in the world. How does that make sense?
Sleeper Pick: Any Vikings Linebacker not named Chad Greenway. Seriously, have you watched the Vikings linebackers play this preseason?
Others: Matt Flynn, Mark Sanchez, Ryan Tannenhill, Packers pass defense, Any Cleveland Brown.

Offensive Player of the Year: Phillip Rivers- He is due for a big year. After under-performing last season, Rivers will have a ton of motivation to prove that he is still an elite QB. This is also the Chargers last chance to win under coach, Norv Turner. So, look for Rivers to produce his best season yet.
Sleeper Pick: Megatron- Calvin Johnson is the best receiver in the NFL. And he happens to play in a pass happy offense. If his QB, Matt Stafford can stay healthy, they should produce big offensive numbers this season.
Others: Drew Brees, Aaron Rodgers, Cam Newton, Mike Vick, Victor Cruz, Toby Gerhart, Tom Brady

Worst Offensive Player of the Year: Blaine Gabbert- He was the worst QB in the NFL last season. And he will be again, this season.
Sleeper Pick: RG3- I don't see how he makes it through the season healthy, let alone, how he lives up to the hype.
Others: Brandon Weeden, Colt McCoy, Kevin Kolb, Carson Palmer.

Defensive Player of the Year: Justin Tuck DE NYG- Tuck is due to have a monster season, And I think he does that this year. Playing in New York City will definitely help his cause.
Sleeper Pick:  Brandon Carr CB Dallas Cowboys
Others: Ray Lewis, Ed Reed, Jonathon Vilma, Mario Williams, DeMarcus Ware, Jared Allen.

Worst Defensive Player of the Year: Brian Urlacher- He has had multiple knee surgeries this off-season. Plus, he is aging. Besides that, he is just not that good anymore. He has basically lived of off his previous excellence the past few years.
Sleeper Pick: Mario Williams- He is a good player. But he got paid a ton this summer, so he needs to stay healthy. History says he wont do that.
Others: Jasper Brinkley, Mistral Raymond, Any Detroit Lions secondary player.

Comeback Player of the Year: Adrian Peterson- That Adrian is already back playing football, after tearing his ACL in December is amazing and should be enough to win him this award.
Sleeper Pick: Terrell Owens- T.O. is hated by a lot of people, but he still has enough game to make a comeback.
Others- Peyton Manning, Jamaal Charles, Peyton Hillis, Mario Williams

Offensive Rookie of the Year: Andrew Luck- Luck, if healthy, will win this award hands down.
Sleeper Pick: Doug Martin- Martin, should be the starting Running-back for the Tampa Bay Bucs. So he will have ample playing time to impress.
Others- Justin Blackmon, Robert Griffin III, Trent Richardson,

Defensive Rookie of the Year: Luke Kuechly LB, Carolina Panthers- Kuechly, will get a ton of playing time for the Panthers at linebacker. So, he should rack-up a bunch of tackles and be around the football a lot.
Sleeper Pick: Stephen Gilmore CB, Buffalo Bills- This guy is a ball hawking CB. And with the pressure the Bills front four should put on the QB, he figures to have a lot of interception opportunities.
Others- Chandler Jones, Dre Kirkpatrick, Dont'a Hightower.

Worst Rookie: Brandon Weeden QB, Browns- He is a 28 year-old rookie that is playing QB for the Cleveland Browns. Enough said.
Sleeper Pick: Morris Claiborne- He is not exactly the smartest player on the field. He scored a 4 out of 50 on his Wonderlic test.
Others- Justin Blackmon, AJ Jenkins,

Head Coach of the Year: Bill Belichick, Patriots- The Patriots are going to have a dominant season this year. And leading the charge will be coach Belichick. He is the best coach in the game. And he will have his team ready to dominate, after blowing last years Super Bowl.

Worst Head Coach: Greg Schiano, Tampa Bay Bucs.- He coached at Rutgers last year. By the way, his team was garbage at Rutgers the past couple of years.

Best Uniform: Buffalo Bills white jersey.

Worst Uniform: Minnesota Vikings purple jersey.

Worst Evangelical-Christian Virgin in the NFL: Surprise, it's Tim Tebow.
