Well, as things stand right now, the Timberwolves, currently hold just a second round pick in this years NBA Draft.
They recently completed a trade with the Houston Rockets; sending their first round pick(18th overall) to Houston in exchange for Rockets forward Chase Budinger. Without a first round pick, this should be a pretty uneventful NBA
draft for the T-Wolves. As this will be the first time since 2004, that
the Timberwolves will not be drafting in the Lottery. The Wolves could always try and trade back into the first round. But I believe the Timberwolves brass feels like they have enough young talent, already on the squad. And I would agree. Therefore, I do not foresee them trying to trade back into the first round. If the Wolves do make a draft night trade, it should be for a veteran NBA player who can contribute to the team right away. The Wolves still need help at the shooting guard and small forward positions. I do not see the Wolves making a trade until NBA free agency begins, July, 11th.
